Ares: Free and open source P2P file sharing program
Ares is nice application, which allows the users to share almost any type of files, using a p2p connection.
Once installed you can start searching for any file you need to download, the results displayed after the search process is completed will show the status of the file like availability, file type, size and couple of other information, by hovering the mouse over the result.

Right click on any result for operations like start downloading, find more from same artist/genre etc.

Download once started is multi connection, i.e. Ares downloads from multiple available sources for the same file.
You also get an option to Chat with Ares, but seems like there are loads of bots in the Chat rooms here, so, no point in giving it a try.
You can share the files you have on your computer, using the Filesharing option in Ares Control Panel, as shown below.

A nice Library management option is also available in Ares.

Ares is a great app for download junkies; you can find almost any type of file here, though Ares is an independent community still the available file list is pretty huge. I tried searching and downloading some files, and I got almost all of them.
